Trust by design

Security. Compliance. Governance. Transparency.

Every transformation engagement begins with security, governance, and operational resilience. EAX Systems helps organizations modernize responsibly using Microsoft technologies and enterprise best practices.

Confidence comes from evidence, not assurance

Regulated organizations are not asked whether they intended to be secure. They are asked to show the control, the owner, and the evidence. Our delivery is structured so that record exists as work proceeds rather than being reconstructed before an audit.

This page states plainly what we hold today and what we are still working toward. Where a certification is planned but not obtained, it is labelled Roadmap.

Our trust principles

Six commitments that shape every engagement

These are working practices, not values on a wall. Each one produces an artifact a customer can review.

Security by Design

Security requirements are written into the architecture before implementation begins, not appended to it afterwards.

  • Threat modelling during design review
  • Identity, network, and data controls specified per workload
  • Secure baselines carried through every environment

Compliance by Design

Obligations are mapped to controls, controls to owners, and owners to evidence, so an audit reads the same record the team works from.

  • Control mapping against the frameworks in scope
  • Evidence expectations agreed at the start of delivery
  • Named accountability for every control decision

Zero Trust Architecture

No implicit trust by network position. Every request is authenticated, authorized, and evaluated against device and data conditions.

  • Strong identity and conditional access as the perimeter
  • Least privilege and just-in-time administrative access
  • Segmentation, inspection, and explicit verification

Responsible AI

AI is introduced where the outcome can be reviewed by a person who is accountable for it, with data boundaries stated in writing.

  • Human review before consequential action
  • Documented data sources, retention, and boundaries
  • Defined evaluation and monitoring for each use case

Operational Resilience

Availability, recovery, and continuity are engineering requirements with measured targets, not aspirations in a policy document.

  • Recovery objectives agreed with the business
  • Backup, failover, and restore paths tested, not assumed
  • Dependency and single-point-of-failure analysis

Continuous Improvement

Posture is reviewed on a cadence. Findings become scheduled work with owners and dates rather than a standing list of concerns.

  • Periodic posture and configuration review
  • Findings tracked to closure with evidence
  • Lessons folded back into reference architecture

Security framework alignment

Where our expertise sits, and where it does not yet

Governance and architecture layers describe current expertise. The assurance layer describes independent attestation we do not hold today. Microsoft frameworks are referenced descriptively. EAX Systems is a verified member of the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program and claims no Solutions Partner designation or certification.

    SOC 2

Planned. No SOC 2 examination has been performed and no report exists today.

  • Readiness support

    FedRAMP

We support customer readiness activities. EAX Systems holds no FedRAMP authorization.

Responsible AI

Useful where it can be governed

We do not claim autonomous judgement, and we do not deploy AI into a decision no one is accountable for. The boundaries below are agreed in writing before a model touches organizational data.

Human oversight

AI output is treated as a draft. A named person reviews and accepts anything that affects a control decision, a customer, or a regulatory position.

Transparency

Where an assistant contributed to an artifact, we say so, and we show the inputs it used. Confidence is never presented as certainty.

Privacy

Personal and sensitive data is kept out of prompts unless there is a documented reason, an agreed boundary, and a lawful basis for it.

Data governance

Sources, classification, retention, and residency are defined per use case before a model is connected to organizational data.

Bias mitigation

Use cases are reviewed for populations that could be affected unevenly, with evaluation criteria written down and re-checked over time.

Risk management

Each use case carries a stated purpose, failure mode, and rollback path. Where the risk cannot be governed, we recommend not proceeding.

Secure delivery lifecycle

Seven stages, each with a control record

The same sequence applies whether the engagement is an assessment or a multi-year program. Each stage leaves behind evidence rather than a status update.

  1. Discovery

Establish the obligations, the estate, the data, and the decisions the organization is accountable for.

    Scope, data classification, obligation register

  2. Assessment

Measure current posture against the frameworks in scope and separate findings from opinions.

    Gap analysis, risk register, prioritization

  3. Architecture

Design identity, network, data, and workload patterns with security requirements written in.

Threat model, reference architecture, control mapping

  4. Implementation

Build to the approved design with change control, peer review, and configuration held as code where possible.

Change records, review evidence, secure baselines

  5. Validation

Test that the control performs as designed, and record the evidence an auditor would ask to see.

Test results, exception handling, evidence set

  6. Optimization

Tune cost, performance, and operations without weakening the control position established at design.

Posture review, drift detection, tuning log

  7. Managed Improvement

Review posture on a cadence, close findings with owners and dates, and feed lessons back into the architecture.

Cadence reviews, closure evidence, roadmap updates

Frequently asked questions

Answered plainly

The questions security, procurement, and compliance teams ask before an engagement begins.

How is customer data protected?
We work in the customer's own tenant and environments wherever possible, under least-privilege access granted for the engagement and removed at its end. Where documents must be exchanged, they move through customer-approved channels and are classified before they are shared.
Where is data stored?
In the customer's environment and region unless the engagement explicitly agrees otherwise. Residency requirements are captured during Discovery and reflected in the architecture rather than resolved late.
Do you support regulated industries?
Yes. Our concentration is government, healthcare, financial services, and other regulated enterprises where control evidence and audit readiness are part of the delivery, not a separate exercise.
How do engagements begin?
With a scoped conversation, then a short assessment that produces a written baseline: obligations in scope, current posture, prioritized findings, and a sequenced plan with owners.
What Microsoft technologies do you specialize in?
Azure platform and landing zone design, Microsoft Entra identity, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Purview data governance, Microsoft Defender and Sentinel for security operations, Microsoft Fabric for data, and Azure AI services. These technologies are referenced descriptively; EAX Systems claims no Microsoft partnership, certification, or authorization.
Is EAX Systems certified to ISO 27001 or SOC 2?
No. Both are on our roadmap and are labelled as such on this page. We will publish the scope and date only when an examination or certification has actually been completed.
Can you sign our security addendum or DPA?
We review customer security addenda, data processing agreements, and confidentiality terms as part of contracting, and we tell you plainly which obligations we can meet before signature.
Who has access to our environment during an engagement?
A named team, listed in the engagement documentation, with individually granted access scoped to the work. Shared credentials are not used, and access is reviewed at each stage boundary.
How do you handle privileged access?
Through customer-approved just-in-time elevation with approval and logging, rather than standing administrative rights held for the duration of a program.
How is AI used in your delivery work?
As assistance for drafting, mapping, and summarizing, with a named reviewer accountable for the result. AI does not approve a control, accept a risk, or make a compliance determination.
Will our data be used to train models?
No. Customer data is not used to train models. Where an AI service is part of a solution, the data boundary and retention behaviour are documented before the service is connected.
How do you report security issues found in our estate?
Findings are recorded with severity, evidence, and a recommended remediation path, raised to the accountable owner directly when severity warrants it rather than waiting for the next report cycle.
How should someone report a vulnerability to EAX Systems?
Email info@eaxsystems.com with the detail required to reproduce the issue. We acknowledge receipt, investigate, and respond with our assessment and any remediation plan.
What happens to our documents after an engagement ends?
Deliverables are handed over to the customer. Working material held by EAX Systems is retained only as long as the contract and our records obligations require, then disposed of.
Do you subcontract delivery work?
When specialist capability is required, any subcontracting is disclosed and approved in advance, and the same access, confidentiality, and control expectations apply.
