Evidence before assertion
Recommendations are supported by documented findings. If something is unknown, it is recorded as unknown rather than presented with confidence it has not earned.
Careers™
We advise organisations where a technology decision carries regulatory, operational, or public-service consequence. The standard is written work that holds up under examination.
Careers™
EAX Systems advises organisations where a technology decision carries regulatory, operational, or public-service consequence. The work is written down, reviewed, and defended. That standard is what makes it worth doing.
We hire for judgement and clarity of explanation ahead of tool familiarity. Depth in one discipline matters more than breadth across many.
Values
Recommendations are supported by documented findings. If something is unknown, it is recorded as unknown rather than presented with confidence it has not earned.
Decisions, constraints, and exceptions are written. Written artefacts are what allow a programme to survive leadership change and audit review.
Change is designed so that it can be undone. Engineers here are expected to plan the rollback with the same care as the deployment.
Complexity is explained, not displayed. An executive should be able to restate the recommendation and its trade-off in their own words.
Work is owned end to end, including the parts that are unglamorous: documentation, handover, and the follow-up that makes an improvement durable.
The best recommendation is often to remove something. Adding tooling is rarely the shortest path to a better position.
Learning and leadership
Engineers are expected to develop a defensible specialism and to teach it. Internal review sessions examine architecture decisions the way a client’s assurance function would.
Leadership here means owning an engagement outcome and the written record behind it, not managing headcount.
Enterprise architecture
Target-state design, dependency analysis, and sequencing for regulated estates.
Identity and security engineering
Identity consolidation, privileged access reduction, detection coverage, and response readiness.
Cloud and platform engineering
Landing zone design, infrastructure as code, migration engineering, and platform operations.
Data and AI governance
Data platform architecture, classification, lineage, and AI use-case governance.
Governance and compliance advisory
Obligation mapping, control evidence design, and audit readiness support.
Introduce yourself
Send a note describing the work you are proud of and the discipline you want to go deeper in. Include what you would want to change about how enterprise technology advice is usually delivered. We read every message.
EAX Systems is an equal opportunity employer. Employment decisions are made on qualifications, capability, and conduct. Open roles are not always posted; unsolicited introductions are welcome and retained for consideration.
Why this work
The systems we work on carry public and regulatory consequence. The work is deliberate, documented, and reviewed.
Reading, reference implementation, and internal review are part of the work itself, not something done after hours.
New capability is explored in the open, evaluated against real constraints, and adopted with governance in place.
Leadership is demonstrated through written clarity and ownership of outcomes rather than headcount.
Architecture decisions, security posture, and operability are held to the standard of external examination.
Progression follows depth: architecture judgement, security engineering, data and AI governance, delivery leadership.
Open positions
We do not post roles we are not actively hiring for. When a position opens it will be listed here with discipline, level, location, and the written exercise involved.
In the meantime, the talent network is the right route. Send the discipline you work in, a short note on the work you want to do next, and a sample of your written technical work. We read every submission and respond when a role matches.
